We take data protection very seriously and treat your personal data confidentially in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations as well as with this data protection policy.

2. Personal data, purpose of processing and statutory regulations

The use of our website does not, as a rule, require individuals to provide any personal data. The provision of any personal data is purely voluntary. Personal data consists of any information which would enable the identification of any living person (referred to hereafter as ‘the affected person’). Information which could identify a living person, either directly or indirectly, would be information such as a name, an identification number, data regarding a location, an online identification, or one or more other identifiable characteristics which could lead to the identification of a living person. The purpose of processing data on this website is to enable us to provide information regarding our service and offers, along with contact details and online applications.

Personal data will only be processed by us in the following cases: 

  • Through use of the website (Legal basis: Article 6 Paragraph 1 a) and/or Article 6 Paragraph 1 b) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • For the protection of our interests, to improve the experience of our users and to maintain the security of our users (Legal basis: Article 6 Paragraph 1f) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • To enable the website user to take up our offers as well as to organise contractual details and to complete the necessary forms (Legal basis: Article 6 Paragraph 1 a) and/or Article 6 Paragraph 1 b) General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR) or
  • To finalise a contract or to carry out a contract (Legal basis: Article 6 Paragraph 1 a) and b) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

3. Access data/Server-Logfiles

As a result of any visit to our website, our server automatically stores information sent from the user’s browser, for example Server-logfiles. This information includes: 

  • The name of the retrieved website
  • Files
  • Date and time of the visit
  • Reports regarding successful visits
  • Type of browser along with the version
  • Operating system of the user
  • Referrer URL
  • IP Address and
  • Provider

We do not link one data source to another data source. The information will only be used exclusively for analysis and technical maintenance regarding the operation of the server and the network (according to Article 6 Paragraph 1 S.1 lit. f General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

4. Cookies

Our website stores cookies. Cookies are small files which enable the specific access rights of the user (PC, Smartphone and other devices) to store information on the related device. They aid with the user-friendliness of the website for the user (for example by storing login data). They also serve the purpose of capturing the statistical data of the website and improving the analysis of our offers. The legal basis for this is Article 6 Paragraph 1 S. 1 lit f) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As a user, you can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers offer the option of preventing the storage of cookies or disabling them completely. However, without cookies, the ease of use of the website will be restricted. 5. Contact via email

When you make enquiries to us via email, the information within your email and the contact data provided will be processed by us as part of your enquiry and stored by us in case of any further queries according to Article 6 Paragraph 1 S. 1 lit b) General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). We will not pass on this data to anyone else without your consent. We will treat the data you have voluntarily provided us with in the strictest of confidence. We only store and use the personal data you have voluntarily provided us with when it is necessary to correspond directly with you. 

6. Who we share your personal data with

We only share your personal data with the following: 

  • Our employees and our contactors 

Other than to the above-named persons, your personal data will not be passed on to any third parties without your specific consent. However, in accordance to Article 6 Paragraph 1 S. 1 lit c) we may be legally obliged to pass on your data to carry out a contractual relationship (Article 6 Paragraph 1 S. 1 lit b) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)). We would like to point out that the transmission of data via the internet (for example communication via email) may be vulnerable to security breaches. It is not possible to fully protect data from security breaches from third parties. 

7. Length of data storage

We delete your personal data immediately when we no longer require the use of it. We store the data from your email until we have fully completed and finalised your contract. After that, as a rule, the details are destroyed. Annually, we also routinely check which data can be deleted. Session cookies from your website visit are automatically deleted. Please note, however, that some data must be stored for at least six (§ 257 HGB) or ten (§ 147 AO) years in accordance with specific trade and tax laws. 

8. Your rights (the rights of affected persons)

You are not legally obliged to provide your personal data. The provision of data may, however, be necessary to carry out a contract according to Article 6 Paragraph 1 S. 1 lit b). Your rights are specifically set out in Articles 15 to 23 and Article 77 of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) as well as §§ 32 to 37 of the "Bundesdatenschutzgesetz-neu". We would like to draw attention to the following rights you may exercise.

With regards to your personal data, you have the right to ensure that we retrospectively provide: 

  • Information we hold about you
  • Corrections if your information is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Deletion of your information
  • Restrictions on processing and
  • Restrictions on portability

Furthermore, you have the right to oppose the processing of your personal data. When you have voluntarily shared your personal data for processing with us, you also have the right to revoke that permission for all future processing. Please direct all enquiries, requests and messages to us as above at point 1. If you feel that your personal data has not been processed in line with the General Data Processing Regulations (GDPR), then you have the right to make a complaint to the relevant authority in accordance with Article 77 of the General Data Processing Regulations (GDPR). You can also exercise your rights to complain to the data protection regulator in the country where you live or in the place where the alleged breach has taken place.
